The BAO Agenda 2026 group has labeled a recent video by Mr. Isaac Fayose, in which he claims credit for influencing Ekiti State Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s road project approvals, as “delusional and unfounded.”
The group dismissed Fayose’s statements as an attempt to gain attention, asserting that such claims do not merit serious consideration from Ekiti residents.
According to BAO Agenda 2026 Group, Fayose’s statements were nothing more than “fictitious fabrications,” alleging that Fayose lacks the credibility to comment on governance issues.
The group in a press release by it’s state coordinator Hon.Moshood Lawal through the secretary general Hon.Oluwafemi Aduloju and public relations officer Yewande Aribasoye pointed out that while Governor Oyebanji built an extensive record in public service, Fayose was reportedly grappling with personal challenges, including time in rehabilitation.
BAO Agenda 2026 further challenged Mr. Fayose to present any professional qualification or achievements from the past decade to substantiate his knowledge of governance. “Governor Oyebanji has been serving Ekiti State in various capacities for over two decades,” the group noted. In 1999, at the age of 32, Oyebanji served as an advisor to Ekiti’s first elected governor, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, eventually rising to Chief of Staff in 2003. His leadership trajectory continued with appointments as chairman of the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre in 2009 and later as Commissioner for Integration and Inter-governmental Affairs under the administration of Governor Kayode Fayemi.
The group reminded the public of Governor Oyebanji’s notable achievements, such as the reconstruction of key roads like the Basiri–Old Iyin Road and multiple link roads across the state capital. Roads critical to local economic activity, including the Jimoh Aliu–Apata Nata Road, Obisesan–New Iyin–Basiri Road, HMB–Doctors’ Quarters–Apata Nata Link Road, and Omisanjana–Shephard–Ajebamidele Road, haver recently been revitalized. Additionally, the ring road and flyover projects by the governor to enhance transportation infrastructure in Ekiti
BAO Agenda 2026 emphasized that Governor Oyebanji remains committed to delivering impactful projects that will enhance the lives of Ekiti residents. The group urged citizens to support the administration’s agenda and disregard “uninformed and disruptive” figures like Mr. Fayose, who lack insight into governance and development priorities.
