In a strong show of support for local development, Engr. Bayo Ajayi, a board member of the Ekiti State Environmental Protection Agency, has donated N1 million towards Ikogosi’s ambitious development projects.
He made the donation on Saturday during the 2024 Ikogosi Day celebrations and N1 billion development project launch held at Giriwa Playing Grounds in Ikogosi-Ekiti.
Engr.Ajayi praised Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s commitment to transforming Ekiti, describing the improvements in Ikogosi since the governor took office as “unprecedented.”
He highlighted the state’s concession of Ikogosi Warm Springs and its accompanying hotel facilities, as well as the revitalization of Gossy Water and township road projects aimed at boosting the community’s economic appeal to investors.
In addition, Engr.Ajayi pointed to the recent electrification of Ikogosi Ekiti, reconnecting the community to power after years of disconnection.
This, he said, has revitalized key tourist attractions like Ikogosi Warm Springs, Arinta Waterfalls, and Gossy Water, supporting Oyebanji’s vision for a thriving local economy.
Engr. Ajayi emphasized that his donation was inspired by Oyebanji’s sincerity and dedication to Ekiti’s growth, which he has extended to all sixteen local government areas.
He called on community members and well-meaning individuals to rally behind the governor’s initiatives, noting that the development projects will bring long-term prosperity and transform lives in the community.
