Governor Biodun Oyebanji joined family, friends, and well-wishers today to honor his late mother, Chief (Mrs) Esther Oyebanji, at the commissioning of the Abiyamo Esther Oyebanji Hall.
The ultra-modern multipurpose hall, donated to the First Baptist Church in Ikogosi by the Abiyamo Esther Oyebanji Foundation, stands as a tribute to the governor’s mother and her enduring legacy.
The event was marked by heartfelt reflections from family members and close associates of the late Oyebanji matriarch, including a former classmate and her longtime personal physician, who remembered her for her humility, generosity, and warm spirit. Governor Oyebanji’s own attributes of humility, empathy, and love qualities widely recognized by those gathered were noted as traits passed down from his mother, echoing through touching tributes by both the governor and First Lady, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji.
This latest philanthropic project by the Abiyamo Esther Oyebanji Foundation follows the dedication of a maternity center at the General Hospital in Aramoko Ekiti earlier this year, also built in memory of Mama Oyebanji.
