Engr.Bayo Ajayi Backs Governor Oyebanji’s Push for Special Education with Book Donation to Special Schools

.... Commits to 1,000 Customized Exercise Books for Students with Disabilities

In support of Ekiti State Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s educational initiatives, Engr. Bayo Ajayi, a member of the Ekiti State Environmental Protection Agency(SEPA), has pledged to donate 1,000 customized exercise books for students in the state’s special schools. During a visit to the office of Special Adviser on Special Education and Social Inclusion, Mrs. Adetoun Agboola on Wednesday, Ajayi confirmed his commitment and was also taken on a tour of a specialized center for students with disabilities, located in the former Governor’s office in Ado Ekiti.

Ajayi noted that this donation aims to complement the state government’s development strides under Governor Oyebanji, whose administration has focused on infrastructure, healthcare, and targeted support for persons with disabilities (PWDs).

He urged other individuals and appointees to contribute, emphasizing that Governor Oyebanji’s dedication to bettering lives in Ekiti State requires collective efforts from the community.

Mrs. Agboola, who welcomed the donation, commended Ajayi’s generosity and called for similar contributions from other well-meaning individuals and organizations to help empower PWDs. She highlighted that the governor’s focus on special education has already brought dedicated therapists and support staff to Ekiti’s special schools, ensuring a comprehensive approach to education and inclusion for students with disabilities.
