Engr. Bayo Ajayi, a member of the Ekiti State Environmental Protection Agency’s board, has praised Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji as a “sincere unifier” committed to peace.
His remarks came on Saturday during the commissioning of the remodeled Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo Presidential Lodge at the Government House Ado Ekiti, led by the state’s first civilian governor, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo.
Engr. Ajayi highlighted the governor’s inclusive leadership, noting the presence of prominent figures, including former Governor Ayodele Fayose of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), as evidence of Oyebanji’s bridge-building efforts. According to Ajayi, Oyebanji’s peace initiatives are strengthening development, exemplified by projects like the presidential lodge, which will reduce accommodation costs for visiting dignitaries.
The board member further commended the governor’s commitment to local talent, with an Ekiti-born architect leading the project, reflecting the administration’s stance against capital flight and its emphasis on human capital development.
Ajayi lauded Oyebanji’s financial prudence, attributing ongoing achievements to his effective management of state resources. He also prayed for divine guidance as the governor marks two years in office, expressing optimism that the latter half of his term will usher in greater opportunities and blessings for the state.
