during the latest edition of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s “Ojuse BAO” radio initiative. This intervention has given her business a new lease on life, ensuring her family can now meet their daily needs.

Among the 13 beneficiaries of this life-changing initiative was Nana Awawu Aina, a yam seller and mother of triplets from Kogi State. She received ₦150,000 to support her business and ease the burden of caring for her young family. Similarly, Mrs. Omoteji Chinyere Loretta, a provision seller from Imo State, was awarded ₦250,000 to expand her store, while Oluwakemi Iretiayo, also a yam seller, received ₦156,000 to stabilize her venture. This diverse group of beneficiaries highlights the non-biased nature of the “Ojuse BAO” program, which cuts across state, tribal, and religious lines.

The latest edition of the initiative, which also serves as part of the 2024 mid-year impact report, saw millions disbursed in cash, business start-up kits, and tools such as sewing and weaving machines. Beneficiaries hailed from different walks of life, receiving support for tuition fees, medical bills, and business expansions.

According to the senior special Assistant to the governor on government house Mrs Sola Abe Governor Biodun Oyebanji is not relenting on his drive to ensure his dream of financial buoyancy for residents of the state irrespective of where they come from as long as they reside in the state and are law abiding the gesture will reach them.She explained that beneficiaries who called into the radio program upon meeting the requirements were approved and their requests granted.

Governor Oyebanji’s strides in the empowerment sector continue to garner widespread praise. Through the “Ojuse BAO” program, he has prioritized small business owners, the informal sector, and struggling residents, ensuring that even those in the most remote areas have access to life-changing opportunities.
