Ekiti Health Commissioner, Filani honoured for His Outstanding Contributions to health Sector

Ekiti State Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr Oyebanji Filani has been presented with a Distinguished Merit Award of Excellence by the Egbe Omo Otun-Ekiti and has also received a Lifetime Recognition and Achievements award from the Great Minds International Communication Ltd in Ado-Ekiti.

Organizers of the awards which took place different locations in Ado-Ekiti stated that the awards were presented to Dr Oyebanji Filani in recognition of his outstanding contributions to health and well-being of the good people of Ekiti State.

Presenting the Distinguished Merit Award of Excellence of the Egbe Omo Otun-Ekiti to the Commissioner ,the Ore of Moba land ,Oba Dr. Adekunle Adeagbo lauded the Ekiti Health Commissioner for contributing positively in the improvement of the state’s health sector as commissioner.

“In recognition of your pragmatic actions, leadership, readiness to serve, creativity and outstanding contributions to healthcare development and overall development of the state. Your ability to manage human and maternal resources to accomplish goals is outstanding “. Oba Adeagbo said.

In the same vein, the Chief Executive Officer of the Great Minds International Communication Ltd, Prince Adewumi Ajibade noted that his organization honoured, Dr Filani because of his significant efforts at improving the healthcare service delivery as the commissioner for Health in Ekiti and the Chairperson of Nigeria Health Commissioner Forum.

While responding, Dr Filani stated that Governor Biodun Oyebanji has created enabling environment for improved health outcomes in the state.

The Commissioner explained that the Ekiti State government was committed to elimination of Malaria, reduction in child and maternal mortalities through the establishment of Ulerawa health insurance programme.

He disclosed that Ekiti State government has increased health workers salaries, empowered health workers with essential tools for productivity and service quality in the state’s health sector.

Dr Filani expressed deep appreciation to the Egbe Omo Otun Ekiti and the Great Minds International Communication Ltd for recognizing his contributions to the sector.

He reiterated the commitment of the Biodun Oyebanji led administration’s commitment to continue in pursuit of excellence in healthcare delivery as well as ensuring that all Ekiti residents have access to quality, accessible and affordable healthcare services.
