Victoria University Expands into Nigeria, Pioneering Educational Collaboration with Direct Flights from Entebbe to Abuja

Victoria University Uganda (VUU), a leading institution in East Africa, has officially entered Nigeria’s education sector with a landmark delegation visit to Abuja. Renowned for its innovative blend of experiential learning and academic rigor, VUU offers a diverse range of programs in Business, Health Sciences, Technology, and Humanities, tailored to the needs of today’s global workforce.

The delegation, led by Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs Professor Augustine Ifelebuegu, University Secretary Mrs. Katusabe Ssemwezi, and Marketing Manager Mr. Conan Daniel, was part of the inaugural Uganda Airlines Airbus A330 flight connecting Entebbe to Abuja. This direct route, launched on September 12, 2024, is set to boost educational ties between Uganda and Nigeria.

Timed with the Uganda-Nigeria Business Forum on September 13, the visit underscored Victoria University’s goal to become a premier choice for Nigerian students. With its unique work-integrated learning model, VUU ensures that graduates are equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing them for success in the job market or entrepreneurial ventures.

Victoria University already attracts over 10,000 Nigerian students annually, offering popular programs such as Nursing, Law, and Business Administration. The new flight route will further ease access, making VUU an increasingly appealing option for Nigerian families seeking quality education in a safe, affordable, and welcoming environment.
