The Ekiti State Government has reiterated its unwavering commitment to supporting and empowering the younger generation through robust business initiatives under the Human Capital Development pillar of it’s administration.
The revelation came during a courtesy visit paid by the Ekiti State branch of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) Alumni Association to the office of the Director-General of the Bureau of Civic Orientation and Citizenship (BCOC), Mrs. Olawumi Famuyiwa.
Speaking at the meeting, Mrs. Famuyiwa, who is also a member of the FUTA Alumni Association, highlighted the State government’s steadfast dedication to nurturing the educational aspirations and business acumen of Ekiti youths. “The Ekiti State Government recognizes the pivotal role that education plays in shaping the future of our society and the importance of skillful engagement” she stated.
She said. “We are committed to investing in programs and policies that will unlock the immense potential of our younger generation and equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the 21st century.”
The visit also provided an opportunity for the FUTA Alumni Ekiti State branch to discuss the upcoming 3.0 conclave, a business meeting scheduled for 26th September, 2024 in Ado-Ekiti.
In his speech, the Chairman FUTA Alumni Ekiti Chapter, Dr. Agbele Tolulope said that Mrs. Famuyiwa who has been selected as the Mother of the day,would be expected to encourage the upcoming generation drawing from her wealth of experience in office to bring people back to the Ekiti Omoluabi ethos of honesty,diligence, and hardwork.
The National Secretary of the FUTA Alumni Association, Mr. Omoniyi Ojo who accompanied the Ekiti State delegation, congratulated Mrs. Famuyiwa on her well-deserved appointment and expressed confidence in her ability to navigate the challenges ahead.
