Oyebanji Gifts Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools,18- seater bus to ease mobility
In a bid to facilitate the smooth running of the Academic Staff union of secondary schools in Ekiti,the Governor of Ekiti State,Mr Biodun Oyebanji has presented an 18-seater bus to the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools ( ASUSS), Ekiti State Chapter.
Presenting the vehicle to the Union,on behalf of the Governor,the Head of Service,Dr Folakemi Olomojobi hinted that the Biodun Oyebanji led administration will continue to prioritize the welfare of Ekiti citizens within and without the public service. She emphasised that the Governor is committed to the shared prosperity mantra in a bid to improve the standard of living of all and sundry.
In a press release by the Director Press office of the head of service Mr.Festus Abosede, Oyebanji urged the body to make judicious use of the vehicle and reciprocate this gesture by ensuring a continuous and effective government-labour dialogue that brings forth remarkable development in the system. This he said can only be achieved in a peaceful atmosphere.
He expressed optimism that the body will deploy every machinery at their disposal to ensure the delivery of quality education, especially at the
secondary education level.
In his response,the chairman of ASUSS,Comrade Olusola Adigun, expressed great delight at what he described as a promise made in secret and was
fulfilled in the open. He commended the Governor as a true promise keeper.
” I want to appreciate our amiable governor and I want the whole world to know that the promise Mr.Governor is fulfilling today was a
promise made by him in person and not in public glare, yet he has fulfilled it openly today.We will forever be grateful to him.” he said.
Adigun described the gift as significant in the sense that His Excellency Biodun Oyebanji was the first governor to have gifted the union a car gift ,and has equally contributed immensely to the unions building project saying that too was another promise kept.
He congratulated the Head of Service under whose watch the agitations which had been on for a long time is now been fulfilled.He promised to reciprocate the gesture.
Adigun noted that the Biodun Oyebanji led administration has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the welfare of all and sundry through its people oriented programmes, policies and activities that have impacted positively on the general well- being of Ekiti people.
