The BAO Agenda 2026 group has appointed Ekiti State Deputy Governor Chief Mrs. Monisade Christian Afuye as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

According to a statement by the group’s PRO/Media Officer, Ms. Yewande Aribasoye, the appointment was announced during a meeting at her official lodge in the Government Residence. The event was attended by top government functionaries and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State.

Addressing the group and the press, Deputy Governor Afuye expressed her delight and gratitude for the appointment. She assured the group of her unwavering commitment and dedication to the BAO continuity agenda and reiterated her support for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s re-election bid, highlighting his achievements across all sectors of the state.

In her final remarks during the event, Afuye urged the group to remain resolute in their support for Oyebanji’s second term, emphasizing that his good works have earned him the support of the Ekiti people.

The Coordinator of the group, Hon. Moshood Lawal (BAMAYI), noted that the governor’s unprecedented achievements inspired the formation of the group to ensure his leadership extends beyond one term. Lawal stressed the importance of continuing to support Oyebanji until 2030.

In a related development, Ekiti State Commissioner for Budget, Economic Planning, and Performance Management, Hon. Oyeniyi Adebayo, received his appointment letter as a member of the Board of Trustees for the BAO Agenda 2026 group. The announcement was made during a visit by the group’s leadership to his office.

Commissioner Adebayo praised the group’s efforts to ensure the continuation of the developments achieved under Governor Oyebanji’s administration. He described the re-election of Oyebanji as a crucial endeavor, reflecting the governor’s positive impact on the state.

Hon. Moshood Lawal, presenting the appointment letter, expressed the group’s gratitude for Adebayo’s support and emphasized the group’s commitment to its mission.
