Gov.Oyebanji’s Generosity Shines in New Radio Initiative: 13 Beneficiaries Grateful for Life-Changing Gifts
Thirteen lucky beneficiaries on Thursday walked away with life-altering gifts in the first edition of the radio broadcast of the OJUSE BAO Initiative.
This initiative, spearheaded by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, is designed to extend the benefits of his largesse to a wider audience beyond the state capital.
The radio program, launched in June, aims to reach Ekiti residents in every corner of the state, offering them a chance to receive grants, business tools, and medical support. During this inaugural session, beneficiaries were awarded various aids based on their needs, which they had shared in calls to the program’s June episode.
Mrs. Sola Abe, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, highlighted that the initiative is not just about giving but also about teaching recipients how to use these resources effectively. “We emphasize the importance of saving, judicious spending, and venturing into familiar businesses to ensure long-term benefits from this support,” Abe said during the interactive session.
Recipients of the grants expressed overwhelming gratitude. Mr. Olawale Olajuyin, a beneficiary, could hardly contain his amazement upon receiving two well-ring molds and additional funds for essential materials.
“I benefited from Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s largesse with just a call to the program which is less than 100 naira . I couldn’t believe my eyes when I received two well-ring molds and 140,000 Naira for other necessities,” Olajuyin shared, still in disbelief at his good fortune.
Similarly, Mrs. Amodi Funmilayo was overjoyed to receive an industrial sewing machine. “It has always been my desire to own this machine since it sold for 16,000.00 naira especially now that it costs over 300,000 Naira. I am incredibly grateful to Governor Oyebanji for making this possible,” she said with heartfelt appreciation.
Among the gifts distributed were industrial sewing machines, well-ring molds, wheelchairs, and startup cash for various businesses. Notably, two physically impaired recipients received significant support to start a charging point center and a fashion business.
The program, open to all Ekiti residents without bias toward ethnicity or religion, will continue to evaluate and monitor the use of these grants over the next three months to ensure they are used as intended. Prospective beneficiaries for July will be announced in the first week of August, as the initiative continues to impact lives positively across Ekiti State.
With the OJUSE BAO Initiative, Governor Oyebanji’s commitment to supporting and uplifting Ekiti residents shines brighter than ever, fostering hope and empowerment across the state.
For prospective beneficiaries for the month of July the senior special Assistant Mrs Sola Abe urged them to tune in to the radio program on Ekiti 91.5fm in the state every Sundays or write a letter to addressed to the Ekiti State Governor Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to be submitted at registry in the governors office.
She stressed that the largesse is open for all as long as they reside in Ekiti so that the prosperity for all agenda for the governor would be achieved.
