Aramoko-Ekiti Celebrates as Governor Oyebanji Unveils State-of-the-Art Maternity Ward

The city of Aramoko-Ekiti was abuzz on Friday as Governor Biodun Oyebanji, alongside the Honourable Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Tunji Alausa, inaugurated the Abiyamo Esther Bosede Oyebanji Maternity Ward at the General Hospital.

This modern facility, named in honor of the Governor’s late mother, was a joint effort by the Governor and his siblings to improve healthcare in the state and commemorate their beloved mother.

Governor Oyebanji highlighted the importance of the new maternity ward, stating that it not only symbolizes a tribute to Chief Mrs. Esther Bosede Oyebanji but also represents the family’s commitment to enhancing healthcare services in Ekiti. “This facility, equipped with the latest medical technology, is our way of giving back to the community and ensuring that every mother and child receives the best care possible,” he remarked during the ceremony.

The event saw heartfelt speeches, including one from the First Lady, who moved the audience with her words of dedication and remembrance.

Pa Ezekiel Oyebanji, the Governor’s father, also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the need for men to honor and respect their wives, reflecting on the legacy of his late spouse.

The commissioning ceremony drew a significant turnout, with seven traditional rulers from Ekiti West Local Government in attendance, alongside other distinguished guests.

The event marked a significant milestone in the region’s healthcare development and stresses the community’s respect and admiration for the Oyebanji family.
