Commissioner Awe, accompanied by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mr. Ojo Babatope, has already visited four local government areas, including Ido Osi, Moba, Ilejemeje, and Oye. During these visits, Awe commended the communities for their adherence to contractual agreements, highlighting successful projects such as the palace renovations in Ira, and the new palace construction in Osun, which is impressively at the lintel stage.

However, Awe expressed concern over the slow progress in a few communities, calling for these areas to clarify delays despite the government’s timely funding.

The ongoing inspection seeks to ensure all projects meet the set standards and timelines.

Communities responded with overwhelming support for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, lauding his administration as “God-sent” and “truly people-oriented.” Residents in the various towns visited have united in their calls for the governor’s continued leadership, praising his genuine commitment to the people’s welfare and development.

The state’s initiative follows a substantial financial injection by Governor Oyebanji, who recently released 157 million naira for the second tranche of funding for these projects.

The funds, distributed across three beneficiary categories, emphasize the administration’s dedication to facilitating community development.

Commissioner Awe assured residents that the third tranche would be disbursed soon, with new sets of projects on the horizon.

This ongoing support echoes the foundational efforts of former Governor Kayode Fayemi and aligns with the current administration’s “zero tolerance for uncompleted projects” roadmap.

As monitoring continues, there is widespread hope that these efforts will translate into sustained growth and prosperity across Ekiti, fulfilling the state’s vision of comprehensive development.
