Ekiti State Governor Returns Amidst Praise from Rural Development Commissioner,Awe
Ekiti State’s Commissioner for Rural and Community Development, Hon. Oluwafemi Abimbola Awe, has warmly welcomed Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji back to the state, dismissing recent allegations against the governor as baseless.
In a statement released by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mr. Ojo Babatope, Hon. Awe emphasized that while detractors spread unfounded rumors, Governor Oyebanji has been actively forging economic partnerships to benefit the state.
He stated that Governor Oyebanji is a dedicated grassroots leader who understands the people’s challenges and is working tirelessly to address them.
Highlighting recent developments, Awe commended the governor for approving 157 million naira for community self-help projects, with an initial 50 million naira already disbursed to 20 communities.
Awe also noted significant agreements made during the governor’s recent trips, including an MOU with CAVISTA to explore cassava cultivation, a partnership with Power Africa for energy sector improvements, and collaboration with DFC to develop the Ekiti State Knowledge Zone and agricultural initiatives.
These efforts, according to him will enhance community development and economic growth.
Urging the public to ignore the unfounded allegations, Awe praised Governor Oyebanji as a genuine leader dedicated to the prosperity and safety of Ekiti State residents.
