YCOOP President, Anifowose Applauds Governor Oyebanji on Agricultural Initiatives
... Solicits tripartite partnership with state government, world bank to boost food security
Mr. Tosin Anifowose, the initiator and President for Youth Cooperating Out of Poverty (YCOOP) and the Raising Millionaire Farmer initiative, has commended Ekiti State Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for his significant interventions and initiatives in the agricultural sector aimed at fulfilling his food security policy.
Anifowose particularly praised the governor for the ongoing tractorization project in the state describing it as laudable and unprecedented. He highlighted that this project provides much-needed relief for commercial agriculture farmers in the state, helping them save money on farm clearing and redirect resources to other essential farm activities.
Anifowose expressed personal gratitude to Governor Oyebanji for assisting with the free bulldozing for his 20-hectares farm project in Itaji-Ekiti and 10 hectares in Iye Ekiti in Ilejemeje local government, noting that such initiatives could lead to lower farm produce prices in the state. He also extended his appreciation to the commissioners for agriculture and food security, Ebenezer Boluwade, and for trade, investment, industry, and cooperatives, Tola Adeola, for their contributions and prayed for their continued success.
Anifowose however , solicited for a tripartite partnership between his project, the state government, and the World Bank, which he stated is essential for accessing grants in the agricultural sector.
The president Y-COOP Mr.Tosin Anifowose,believes such a partnership would support the government’s youth in agriculture initiative and help keep youths away from drugs and other vices.
He also conveyed the appreciation of the Onitaji of Itaji Ekiti, HRM Oba Idowu Adamo Babalola to the governor for considering Itaji Ekiti for the laudable empowerment initiative one he described as a feature of a proactive government and prayed for his success as leader of the state.
