EXCO members of the Ado Grammar School 2005 Set Alumni on Wednesday had a familiarization visit on the office of Dr. Azeez Akeem the Special Adviser on Tertiary Education for Ekiti State. Led by their president, Olabode Wilson Rawa, the executives expressed gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to meet with him.
During the meeting, the president highlighted the alumni’s achievements, which included securing JAMB forms for less privileged students at their alma mater, resolving admission issues, and establishing cooperative societies for members to mention a few.
The primary focus of the discussion centered on seeking support to realize the alumni’s goals of enabling students to achieve their full potential in life.
Additionally, the alumni sought assistance to revive their Adire Hub within the school premises, emphasizing the special adviser’s connection to Ado Ekiti as a reason for support.
Mr. Rawa emphasized the association’s openness to any assistance Dr. Azeez could provide and pledged the alumni’s support for government initiatives.
In response, Dr. Azeez expressed delight at the visit, acknowledging it as a challenge and assuring the alumni of his support for their alma mater. He promised to reciprocate such support in his own school and reiterated his readiness to assist the alumni whenever needed.
He noted that the restoration of the educational values the state is known for is a collective responsibility as demonstrated by the Ado Grammar school alumni 2005 Set with a call on others to emulate.
He however reiterated that the Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji administration is poised at transforming the lives of students and their teachers in the state hence the special consideration and massive investment given to the sector.
