Federal Road Assessment in Ekiti: Gov. Oyebanji, Minister for Works Umahi Pledge Accelerated Progress

EKiti State Governor Mr Biodun Oyebanji on Saturday embarked on a day-long road inspection alongside Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi, signaling a concerted effort to evaluate the progress of critical infrastructure projects within the state.

The day commenced with the Governor welcoming Minister Umahi at Akure Airport, marking the beginning of a comprehensive inspection tour along key routes such as the Akure-Ikere-Ado road, with intermittent stops to assess ongoing works firsthand.

The duo extended their scrutiny to the Ado-ABUAD-Ijan road, whose recent construction approval garnered attention, followed by a thorough examination of the concrete road network at ABUAD Industrial Park, demonstrating a commitment to ensuring quality infrastructure for the region.

Their itinerary continued with a visit to the Ijan end of the road, culminating in a brief meeting with esteemed figure Are Afe Babalola, emphasizing the significance of community engagement in infrastructure development.

Minister Umahi reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to expediting action on road projects, assuring Governor Oyebanji of timely completion.

The visit follows Governor Oyebanji’s recent visits to the Minister’s office in Abuja, reinforcing a collaborative approach to addressing infrastructure needs in Ekiti State. Senator Cyril Fasuyi accompanied the Governor, further emphasizing the importance of intergovernmental cooperation in achieving infrastructure goals.
