Former President of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) and ex-Special Adviser to Ondo State Government on Health, Prof. Adedayo Faduyile, has expressed profound sorrow over the unexpected passing of Dr. Paul Akintelure.
In a statement released to the press, Prof. Faduyile conveyed his deep condolences yesterday, describing Dr. Akintelure’s demise as a devastating blow to both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and humanity at large.
“It is a heart-wrenching loss,” remarked Prof. Faduyile. “Dr. Paul was not just a party stalwart but also a beacon of light, extinguished prematurely when his presence was most needed. He contributed immensely to both the political landscape of the state and the medical profession.”
Prof. Faduyile went on to extol Dr. Akintelure’s virtues as a peace-loving individual and a driven achiever, emphasizing the significant void his absence leaves in both political and community spheres.
The esteemed medical figure, who is also vying for the APC ticket in the upcoming gubernatorial election, expressed solidarity with Dr. Akintelure’s family and APC associates at all levels. As a mark of respect, he directed his political team to suspend all campaign activities in tribute to the departed leader.
