Traditional rulers and residents in Ekiti are urging Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for support in their ongoing self-help projects, lauding his rural development initiatives.
The call emerged during an assessment tour led by Commissioner Oluwafemi Abimbola Awe, showcasing the communities’ dedication to progress.
In the midst of the assessment, traditional rulers commended Governor Oyebanji’s commitment, highlighting his predecessor Dr. Kayode Fayemi’s legacy in self-help projects. They stressed the importance of continuity in governance for societal advancement and applauded the recent commissioning of traditional rulers’ chambers in Ado Ekiti.
While expressing gratitude for the governor’s efforts, the royal fathers sought urgent assistance for the completion of their Palaces, outlining specific needs such as windows, doors, flooring, roofing, and finishing.
Commissioner Awe emphasized that the tour aligns with the governor’s promise to boost economic viability through farmstead development.
During the tour, communities like Isinbode, Omuo, Omuo-oke, Iro, Egbe, Imesi, Aisegba, and Ilumoba Ekiti showcased ongoing projects, emphasizing Governor Oyebanji’s dedication to comprehensive rural development. Commissioner Awe assured government intervention and encouraged continued support from the communities.
