Ejiyan Ekiti’s Osokia Festival: A Journey Towards Global Prominence Unveils with Bureau of Tourism Collaboration

In a quest to propel the annual Osokia Festival onto the international tourism stage, Oba Adelkunle Adepoju, the Obalaye of Ejiyan Ekiti, led a delegation to meet with Ambassador Wale Ojo-Lanre, the Director-General of Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development. The meeting, held at the Governor’s office complex in Ekiti State, Nigeria, sought to garner support for the festival’s elevation to a global tourism spectacle.

Oba Adepoju conveyed his aspirations for the Osokia Festival to attain worldwide recognition, envisioning heightened tourism activity for Ejiyan Ekiti and the entire state. He stressed the importance of attracting both local and international tourists to significantly enhance the local economy.

In response, Ambassador Ojo-Lanre assured the Obalaye of his unwavering commitment to fostering the Osokia Festival’s transformation into a prominent international tourism event. The Obalaye of Ejiyan Ekiti, alongside his delegates, expressed gratitude for the Director-General’s commitment and pledged their full cooperation to make the Osokia Festival an international tourism success. They affirmed their readiness to closely collaborate with the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development, showcasing the unique traditions, arts, crafts, and cultural performances of Ejiyan Ekiti.
