Gov.Oyebanji extols Love,Generosity, Calls for Unity in Christmas Message

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has conveyed warm wishes to Christians in the country, particularly in Ekiti State, on the occasion of Christmas. In a message signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, the Governor urged citizens to embrace the spirit of love and giving that Christmas symbolizes, emphasizing that these virtues should extend beyond the festive season for enduring peaceful coexistence.

Governor Oyebanji called for a collective effort to extend a helping hand to the less privileged, emphasizing that a nation’s development accelerates when its citizens view each other as brothers and sisters irrespective of religious or tribal affiliations. The Governor reiterated his commitment to fostering religious harmony in Ekiti State and creating an environment where people can practice their faith freely.

Addressing the economic challenges facing the country, Governor Oyebanji urged optimism, stating that 2024 holds the promise of prosperity for Nigeria and its citizens. He emphasized the significance of Christmas as a season of giving, rooted in the Holy Bible’s narrative of God gifting Jesus to the world.

The Governor encouraged Nigerians to recognize the foundational importance of love for God and humanity in their respective religions. He stressed the need for unity, fellowship, and law-abiding conduct, emphasizing that staying united would lead to collective achievements.

As he extended Christmas greetings to the people of Ekiti, Governor Oyebanji called for prayers for the state’s prosperity, progress, and blessings in the coming year, emphasizing the importance of faith in God and love for one another in building a strong and vibrant nation.
