In a game-changing move and sincere demonstration of the Ekiti State electricity power sector law 2023 aimed at ensuring a steady supply of electricity for the state’s businesses and economic growth, the Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has launched a 19-kilometer, 33KV power line that connects the 132KV TCN Sub-Station at Omisanjana to Erijiyan. This landmark event not only signifies the rehabilitation of the 33KV line but also heralds the realization of Ekiti’s industrial and economic dreams.
Electricity has become the lifeblood of Ekiti’s development strategy, firmly embedded in Governor Oyebanji’s Six Pillars of Administration. The state’s economic aspirations rest heavily on this electrification endeavor.
Upon taking office, the government recognized that many communities had endured years without access to electricity, hindering the growth of vital facilities. The solution was to tap into an underutilized 60MVA transformer, creating a 33KV line connecting it to key areas, revitalizing the region’s economic prospects.
This ambitious project has already yielded tangible results, and the Governor assures that more communities will soon have access to electricity.
This undertaking reflects Ekiti’s commitment to progress and development, bringing forth a brighter future for the state.
