Chairman Senate Committee on Youth & Sports, Adaramodu Charges Youths To Positively Explore Energy, Rise Against Social Vices.
As the 2023 National Youth Games holding in Asaba, Delta State begins this weekend, the Chairman Senate Committee on Youth and Sports, Senator Yemi Adaramodu has urged Nigerian Youths to stick to Sports and other veritable and laudable ventures rather than indulge in unholy acts.
Senator Adaramodu while identifying with the Nigerian Youths participating in the National Youth Games 2023 noted that Sports have helped to reshape the future of thousands of the youths across the World while the future or lives of those indulging in different vices are either ruined or cut short.
While wishing all participants in the National Youth Games tagged ASABA 2023 best of luck in their contests, the lawmaker urged officials and organizers to seize the opportunity to sensitize the youths on dangers inherent in social vices.
Senator Adaramodu who is also the Chairman Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs charged all the athletes representing Team Ekiti to give their best and do the State proud in a bid to justify the remarkable interest and commitment shown by Ekiti State governor, Biodun Oyebanji towards Youth and Sports Development noting that the governor has done well establishing the new Ekiti State Sports Commission and also making the Ministry of Youth independent.
On the recent, demise of a popular young hip hop musician known as Mohbad, Adaramodu who sympathized with the family and friends of the deceased urged the youths to always fall back to teachings of parents and avoid tendencies that could make them stray.
He noted that rather than protest over the death of a youth, the younger generation should put government and policies makers on their toes for them to place premium on the future of the younger generation.
He also urged the Youths not to be too secretive , rather they should share their pains and thoughts with elders and constituted authorities.
The Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District also called on the Federal government to do the needful for the Nigerian Youth through helpful policies and programs noting that the future of every nation depends on the Youth.
He vowed to synergize with other National Lawmakers to ensure impactful laws are made to better the lot of the Nigerian Youths.
