Following the completion of the one week Jaytee Ojo Foundation Sports Academy Football Summer Camp held in Ijero Ekiti in August 2023, the brains behind the initiative have launched different means of testing the skills of the selected boys and girls.
During the program, players were screened by the team scouts for three categories of namely JOFSA KINGS, JOFSA QUEENS, JOFSA KIDS)
One of the programs designed to further assess the players is the arrangement of friendly matches against Youth Teams within and beyond Ijero Local Government.
Though some players with potentials have been selected by the scouts during the summer camp, but more talented players are still being discovered through series of friendly matches played against various teams
In some of the friendly matches, JOFSA KINGS defeated YOUNG STARS by 2 nil while YOUNG EAGLES FC from Ido Osi Local Government lost by 1 goal 3 agsianst JOFSA KINGS.
Elsewhere, JOFSA KINGS thrashed AYEGUNLE UTDby 3 goals to nothing and by 2 nil JOFSA KINGS taught WONDER EXCHANGE from Ikere Ekiti by 2 nil just as JOFSA Under 13 Kids played 2 all draw against WONDER EXCHANGE Under 13.
In other tune up friendly matches, JOFSA KINGS recorded another 2-0 victory over PHOENIX Athletic Sports Club from Ado Ekiti while the only team that defeated JOSFA KIDS so far were PHOENIX ASC Under who beat JOSFA KIDS by 3 goals to 2 and by 2 goals to 1 JOSFA Under 18 beat
Ikole LFC Under 18 by 2 goals to 1.
More friendly matches are billed for today Thursday and tomorrow Friday as JOFSA KINGS will face BEST LEGS FC from Ijero and JOSFA KINGS will square up with Shooting Stars FC from Osun State
All matches are to be played at Eso Oba Comprehensive High School, Ikoro Ekiti and hosted by JT Ojo Foundation under the pragmatic vision of its Founder, Otunba JT Ojo.
