Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, stressed his administration’s unwavering commitment to maintaining zero tolerance for indiscipline. He urged government officials and appointees to direct all privileges towards the well-being of the populace, rejecting any pressures that prioritize personal gain over the responsibilities of their positions.
The declaration was made on Monday in Ado Ekiti, as Governor Oyebanji administered the oath of office to the 10th Head of Service, Engr. Sunday Komolafe, and two newly appointed commissioners, Prof. Bolaji Aluko and Hon. Dapo Karounwi. The latter two were absent during their initial swearing-in ceremony on August 8, 2023.
Governor Oyebanji admonished the officials to uphold a standard of professionalism in their duties, devoid of bias or political affiliations. He emphasized that their efforts should be directed towards the central objective of the administration: the “Prosperity for All” mantra. Additionally, he encouraged them to maintain a strong connection with the Ekiti people in their respective constituencies.
In response, Engr. Sunday Komolafe, the new Head of Service, expressed gratitude on behalf of the other appointees for the trust placed in them by the governor. He assured the governor and the people of Ekiti that they would faithfully discharge their duties with a humane touch, adhering to the principles and values of their roles.
With the appointment of its 10th Head of Service, Ekiti State anticipates a revitalized and efficient workforce, poised to drive positive changes that will translate into enhanced prosperity and transformation for the state.
