JAMB: Innoson Company Withdraws Mmesoma’s N3m Scholarship
Following embattled UTME candidate, Mmesoma Ejikeme’s confession of forgoing her JAMB score, Innoson Vehicles has withdrawn the scholarship awarded her earlier.
Confirming this in a statement issued on Saturday by the Head of Corporate Communications and Affairs of the Innoson Group, Cornel Osigwe, the company said it made the difficult decision to withdraw the scholarship awarded to Mmesoma.
Osigwe noted that the decision was based on testament to its unyielding commitment to honesty, integrity, and merit-based recognition, disclosing that it was involved in the process of investigating allegations surrounding Mmesoma’s 2023 UTME examination results.
Osigwe said findings from the investigation have confirmed that Mmesoma manipulated her UTME results, lamenting that the conclusion was deeply disappointing and stands in direct contravention of the values Innoson Group holds, particularly as it relates to scholarship program.
Recall that Innoson company offered Mmesoma Three million naira scholarship for being the highest scorer in the 2023 UTME, with an aggregate of 362 as against 249, the original score.
