President Bola Tinubu is set to personally announce new dates for the national population and housing census that was postponed last April, at the twilight of the previous administration.
Confirming this to newsmen on Thursday, after meeting with the President at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja, the Chairman of the National Population Commission, Nasir Kwarra, maintained that the NPC submitted its report to the President and he is expected to study and reach an informed decision on what date to fix the nationwide exercise.
Kwarra, however, said the Commission will request more financial provisions because the longer the exercise is delayed, the more its financial requirements expand.
Recall that the National Population census was scheduled to hold earlier in May, but was postponed.
