Ekiti State government has banned a proposed 72 hours Kiss-a-thon scheduled to hold in the state on the 7th of July in one of the hospitality outlets, towards setting a Guinness record.
Confirming the ban in a statement to Ekiti Hoteliers on Wednesday, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism, Mr Adelusi, maintained that Kiss-a-thon as an event is not only absurd and immoral but capable of tarnishing the image of the state.

Mr Adelusi therefore warned Hoteliers to monitor their outlet against being used to cause embarrassment for the people of Ekiti State.
Meanwhile, young Nigerians have been putting in efforts to break different records and be recognized by Guinness, after an Akwa-Ibom born chef, Hilda Bassey, fondly called Hilda Baci, broke a record of the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
