Ekiti State Official Condemns Dual Attacks, Urges Security Response

In the wake of the tragic incidents involving the killings of two royal fathers,Oba David Ogunsakin, the Elesun of Esun Ekiti and Oba Samuel Olatunji the Olumojo of Imojo Ekiti along the Ikole Ekiti axis by gunmen, and the abduction of school children in Eporo, Emure Ekiti, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties, Hon. Olufemi Aduloju, has spoken out against these heinous acts.

Describing the attacks as cowardly and reprehensible, Hon. Aduloju has called for swift and decisive action from security operatives in the state to address these challenges effectively.

He emphasized the need for the security apparatus to live up to the investment made by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji in boosting security infrastructure in the state.

Hon. Aduloju recalled the significant contribution made by Governor Oyebanji in enhancing security measures, including the donation of security equipment such as armored personnel carriers (APCs), batons, helmets, and other resources to the state police headquarters last year.

Expressing solidarity with the governor and the people of Ekiti State during this trying time, Hon. Aduloju emphasized the importance of collective vigilance in safeguarding communities. He urged residents to promptly report any suspicious activities in their surroundings to aid government efforts in maintaining security.

While reassuring the public of the government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring justice for the victims and apprehending the perpetrators, Hon. Aduloju highlighted Governor Oyebanji’s steadfast resolve in prioritizing security as a cornerstone of his administration’s agenda.

In the face of these challenges, Ekiti State remains resolute in its pursuit of peace and security for all its citizens under the leadership of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.
