Ekiti’s Project Watchdog Sharpens Claws for 2026

...IPMO Vows Tech Boost, Zero Tolerance for Shoddy Work After Year-End Review

The Independent Project Monitoring Office (IPMO) has wrapped up its annual review, resolving to intensify its crackdown on substandard projects across Ekiti State. Led by Prince Adewole Oluseun Ajakiaye, Special Adviser to the Governor, the high-level meeting brought together all Senior Special Assistants and technical officers to recalibrate the office’s strategy.

Officials reinforced their core mandate: ensuring zero tolerance for poor quality and delivering maximum value for every public Naira spent. Key to this mission is a pledge to deploy more advanced non-destructive monitoring technology, expanding coverage and accuracy for greater oversight.

The meeting also saw a strategic rejig of internal methodologies to boost efficiency and ensure better geographic coverage across all senatorial districts. In a significant administrative shift, a new administrative head was formally unveiled and initiated into the office’s operations.

Closing on a note of confidence and vigour, the IPMO team is charging into the new year with a sharpened focus on effective, efficient, and relentless project monitoring for the people of Ekiti.
