
The BAO AGENDA 2026 group, championing the re-election bid of Ekiti State Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, stormed 11 wards in Ikole Ekiti on Sunday, where they were met with overwhelming crowds, music, and enthusiastic endorsements.
The team members comprising State coordinator Hon. Moshood Lawal (Bamayi), Treasurer Are Ebenezer Adebusuyi, Women leader -Hon. Bukola Jegede and Public Relations Officer/ media Ms Yewande Aribasoye who were received with pump and peagantry emphasized reasons to embrace continuety.
The tour, marked by vibrant rallies, saw party leaders, women groups, and youth chanting solidarity songs as they praised the governor’s transformative projects across the state.
At various stops, ward chairmen and coordinators insisted that Governor Oyebanji’s visible achievements had already won him the people’s support.
Hon. Ajayi Olalekan, APC Ward 12 Chairman (Iyemero/Itapaji) and Hon .Ogunlayi Fatai BAO AGENDA ward coordinator for Ward 3 Odo Oro declared:”We don’t even need this visit—the roads, hospitals, and empowerment schemes are proof enough!”
Similar sentiments echoed in Ward 11 (Ipao-Oke Ako), where Chairman Ikole APC Hon. Omotosho Ebenezer Ajimuade, Olori Bosede Oluyomi Ikole local government women leader,Chief Adeyemi patron Asin Ekiti,Mrs Mosunmola Adeyemo ,Ikole Ekiti West LCDA Chairman and Hon. Akomolafe Olusegun Solomon, hailed the governor’s inclusive leadership.Residents highlighted key projects, including:
Massive road construction across Ikole communities.
Upgraded healthcare centres, including the conversion of Ikole General Hospital to a Federal Medical Centre (FMC).
Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji’s initiatives, such as the Multiple Births Support Scheme and Adire Hub Training for women.
Mrs. Blessing Onipede, BAO AGENDA Coordinator for Wards 8 and 9 (Odo Ayedun), praised the governor’s gender-inclusive appointments, saying: “Our women now have a voice in governance!”
The tour was galvanized by the presence of Ikole APC Chairman, Hon. Omotosho Ebenezer Ajimuade, and Women Leader Olori Bosede Oluyomi, who assured the governor of a “landslide victory” in 2026.
In a show of support,Hon. Segun Adelugba and the Ajoni LCDA Chairman Prince Micheal Ogungbemi donated ₦100,000 each to the group, while the BAO AGENDA team gave ₦25,000 per ward to support local party activities.
With seven More LGAs to go having covered nine out of Ekiti’s 16 local governments, the BAO AGENDA 2026 team remains confident as it prepares to take the campaign to the remaining regions.
With such grassroots momentum, Governor Oyebanji’s second-term bid appears to be gaining unstoppable traction.
