The Ado Grammar School Alumni 2005 Set, under the leadership of its president, Mr. Olabode Wilson Rawa, celebrated a significant milestone on Boxing Day with the groundbreaking ceremony for a 500 capacity multipurpose hall at the school premises on Poly Road, Ado-Ekiti.

The event, attended by alumni, staff, students, and representatives of the school’s mother union, was described as a bold initiative aimed at promoting community development and supporting the members of the alumni cooperative society.

The multipurpose hall, designed to accommodate 500 people, would also include two offices allocated to members of the alumni cooperative and the shops for bought and canteen This initiative was said to be focused on strengthening business and the school growth. Mr. Wilson emphasized that the project was not merely a meeting space but a legacy designed to empower alumni members.

He commended the efforts of the 2005 Set for achieving the milestone despite numerous challenges.

Mr.Rawa encouraged current and future alumni executives to remain dedicated to the school and the cooperative society’s objectives, expressing confidence that posterity would recognize and reward their contributions.The President also urged everyone to support the project in any way possible.

Mr. Wilson expressed gratitude to the school’s mother union for supporting the project, reaffirming the alumni’s commitment to adhering to the union’s constitution.

In her speech the school’s principal Mrs.Adenike Ademiluyi commended the the set for their steadfastness and uncommon dedication to transforming their alma mater not minding challenges and described it unprecedented with a charge to the set not to relent even as they sustain peace and unity with the mother Union and other sets of the school.

The 2005 Set also reflected on their previous achievements, such as distributing forms to indigent students and plans to refurbish the school’s Adire hub to preserve cultural heritage.

The ceremony featured the laying of foundation blocks by the school principal, Mrs. Adenike Ademiluyi, Mr. Olabode Wilson Rawa, and a representative of the school’s mother union.The act was seen as a symbol of collective dedication to the transformative project.
