The Adolescent Friendly Research Initiative and Care (ADOLFRIC) has celebrated a landmark achievement as its Director of Nursing Services, Dr. (Mrs.) Olofinbiyi Oluwafunke, earned a PhD in Nursing Science from Afe Babalola University (ABUAD).
ADOLFRIC in a press release by its director of corporate affairs and social responsibility Mr. Tosin Olowo hailed Dr. Olofinbiyi’s inspiring career progression from a Registered Nurse and Midwife to a holder of Bachelor’s, Master’s, and now a doctorate, emphasizing her resilience and commitment to excellence in the field.
The organization also recognized Prof. Ayodele Babatola, Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University (EKSU), for his role in supervising his first PhD graduate in the department since taking the Similarly , it extended gratitude to the former Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Edward Olanipekun, for his invaluable encouragement during the foundational stages of Dr. Olofinbiyi’s academic journey.
Acknowledgments were also given to the faculty at both EKSU and ABUAD, particularly Prof. Awoleke Olumuyiwa, Prof. Fadare Joseph, Prof. Funmilayo Ojo, and Dr. (Mrs.) Kemi Ogidan, whose support proved vital during the research and defense process.
ADOLFRIC further commended key figures within Nigeria’s nursing leadership for their continued efforts in advancing the sector’s academic and professional standing, driving nursing education to new heights.
