Ekiti State’s Special Assistant on Entertainment, Mr. Idowu Ogundola, has praised Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for his proactive approach in recognizing and supporting local talent. Speaking in Ado Ekiti on Friday during a new appointee capturing exercise, Ogundola urged residents to see the governor as a leader committed to enhancing the state’s creative sector.

Ogundola highlighted the governor’s unprecedented focus on the entertainment industry, noting that Ekiti, known as the Fountain of Knowledge, is also rich with creative talent. He emphasized that Governor Oyebanji’s initiatives aim to harness this potential, ensuring that the entertainment sector thrives.

In the coming week, Ogundola announced plans for a stakeholders meeting in the state capital, which will include various entertainment venues. This meeting, set to occur in a few weeks, aims to boost Ekiti’s nightlife and address challenges faced by the industry.

Following the stakeholders meeting, Ogundola plans to engage local musicians within two weeks. He assured the public of the administration’s commitment to keeping its promises, evidenced by ongoing development projects such as the Ado Ekiti flyover bridge and the Iworoko Ekiti Ring Road.

Ogundola called on the public to support Governor Oyebanji’s vision by trusting and praying for his leadership, reaffirming that the governor is dedicated to the prosperity and development of Ekiti State.
