Mrs. Adetoun Agboola, Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Education and Social Inclusion has lauded the Joint National Association of People With Disabilities (JONAPWD) for conducting a transparent and equitable election.
She emphasized the significance of ensuring inclusivity and democratic processes within the association.
Following the announcement of the election results by Mr. Ojo Peter, Chairman of the JONAPWD Electoral Committee, it was revealed that Mr.Familusi Tokunbo emerged as the Chairman with 50 votes, showcasing a strong mandate from the members in attendance.
While Mr. Oni Femi secured the Secretary position with an impressive tally of 55 votes, demonstrating widespread support from the electorate.
Others are 1st Vice Chairman: Sesan Aina who clinched victory with a commanding 59 votes, reflecting the confidence entrusted in his leadership capabilities.
Women Leader: Bankole Gbemisola triumphed with 52 votes, highlighting her commitment to championing the rights and interests of women within the association.
Sport Director: Rotawo Olusegun emerged as the winner with an overwhelming 58 votes, emphasizing his dedication to promoting sports and recreational activities among members.
These results signify a collective endorsement of the newly elected executive members, who are poised to steer JONAPWD towards greater inclusivity and representation within the disability community.
