In a bid to align with the visionary 6-point agenda of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration, newly appointed officers in the Ekiti State Civil Service are charged to enhance and update their knowledge and skills.
This call to action was articulated by the Head of Service, Engr. Sunday Komolafe, during the induction and orientation program for these officers.
Engr. Komolafe emphasized the significance of the induction program as a crucial window for familiarization with roles and expectations within the organization.
He stressed the pivotal role of public servants in promoting government policies, urging them to prioritize efficiency, eschew political partisanship and corruption, and focus on delivering quality services at all governance levels.
The Head of Service expressed optimism that participants would grasp the distinctions between civil service and public service, acquaint themselves with relevant rules and regulations, and gain a profound understanding of the 6 pillars guiding the current administration.
He commended Governor Oyebanji’s commitment to building a robust civil service that prioritizes quality service delivery.
Professor Olugbenga Tedela, the Commissioner of the Ministry of Capacity Development and Training, encouraged the inductees to continuously refine their skills, emphasizing the transformative role of technology in government operations. He highlighted the ministry’s dedication to digital transformation, deploying technology to enhance service delivery.
Mr. Olufemi Adedipe, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, challenged inductees to view the program as a self-development opportunity, aligning with the administration’s focus on human capital development for socio-economic progress.
The induction, spanning 3 days, and orientation, spanning 5 days, welcomed newly appointed officers in various capacities.
