ENGR. OSALUSI, GM EKS-WAMA RECEIVES SERVICE AMBASSADOR AWARD FOR INTEGRITY STEWARDSHIP.

A celebratory atmosphere unfolded as Engr. Ayoola Osalusi, the General Manager of Ekiti State Waste Management Authority (EKS-WAMA), was honored with the prestigious ‘Certificate of Integrity and Stewardship award.

This recognition also marked his induction as a ‘Service Ambassador’ for his unwavering commitment to ethical leadership and his effective role in maintaining a clean environment within the state.

The esteemed award was bestowed upon him by the Center for Peace and Self Values Re-orientation, a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Abuja. The presentation took place on Wednesday and was met with jubilant applause.

 

Comrade Oyibo Abubakar, the Executive Director of the NGO, cited Engr. Ayoola Osalusi’s outstanding leadership as the reason for his selection. He commended Osalusi’s dedicated efforts in ensuring the state’s cleanliness and improvement of essential social welfare services.

Abubakar commented, “After conducting a confidential independent assessment exercise on MDAs in South-West Nigeria, EKS-WAMA, led by Engr. Ayoola Olalusi, emerged as an exceptional performer. His ethical leadership, policy implementation,t public engagement, servicom compliance, commitment to the state’s transformation agenda, stance against corruption, and adherence to the rule of law were all impressive.”

 

He continued that “This award aims to inspire him to continue enriching society, contribute more to his constituents, and lend his voice to the ongoing clarion call for Nigeria’s reform in the years ahead.”

 

Expressing his gratitude, Engr. Osalusi acknowledged the NGO’s recognition and vowed to intensify his efforts in fulfilling his responsibilities. He conveyed, “We extend our gratitude to both God and the Center for Peace and Self Values Re-orientation for this honor. We understand that this award serves as a catalyst for us to strive for excellence and enhance our performance in order to benefit our community.”

 

Similarly, the NGO extended its acknowledgment to EKS-WAMA by presenting the organization with the ‘Certificate of Integrity Stewardship,’ recognizing it as a paragon of ethical responsibility.”

 

Engr. Osalusi is a registered engineer with the council for the regulation of engineering in Nigeria (COREN).He has served in different capacities as an Agricultural engineer and rose to the post of deputy director of engineering in the ministry of Agriculture.

 

In 2014 he was posted to the Ekiti State Waste Management Authority EKS-WAMA as director of operations. He was appointed as acting general manager in July, 2022 and his appointment has been confirmed as a general manager of the agency in Ekiti State civil service.
